Everything Old Is New Again
Aug. 6th, 2010 06:48 pmJust a quick thing today: some floors I made as a bit of light relief from working on my GoS 'Christmas in July' gifts (it's all good, but I think I must have chosen to make the most fiddly recolours in the history of Simming). Anyway, I love Adele's and my-mashup's vintage floor tiles, but I'm greedy and I wanted more, so I hunted down some suitable textures and made some of my own as well.

I'm particularly chuffed with the concrete tiles (especially the last-but-one on the bottom row); you really must download them to see how ace they look in-game. ;)
EDIT: thanks to
sheelal, I can confirm that these are Mac-friendly. Yay!

Date: 2010-08-08 03:19 pm (UTC)I hadn't thought actually, these do work OK on a Mac I take it? I understand there can sometimes be a problem with CC made on a PC not being Mac-friendly?

Date: 2010-08-08 06:54 pm (UTC)I haven't had a chance to put them in my game and test them out yet,but usually with cc walls and floors, the problems happen when the images are a non-standard size. Anything where the images are square and pixel dimensions are a power of two (256x256, 512x512, 1024x1024, 2048x2048, etc.) seems to work, though with walls it means distorting the image so it'll show up properly in-game, instead of squished. Not with floors, because they're already square....I honestly have no idea if Home Builder does this automatically or not. It's technically something that can be fixed in SimPE by replacing the textures, but with most downloads, I tend to be lazy and just delete anything that doesn't work.
Edit: They work! Screenshot proof:
Here's what they look like in-game:

Umm, actually, I'd like to ask a small favour - as the only Mac user I'm aware of, would you be willing to test out a couple of walls I've made?
