One-Trick Pony

This is sort of in fulfillment of a request made by Goat, over at GoS. OK, only Pooklet's naturals were originally requested, but, being me, I couldn't leave it at that, and had to do the unnaturals too - my excuse was that it was a great opportunity to give my brand new full-Pookleting capability a good test run.

I was originally going to upload the results at GoS too, but that would have meant making four separate posts for one hair, and I thought people might just start getting annoyed with my omnipresence. Plus, since it's the first hair recolour I've ever released, I'm afraid I bottled out in the end...so it ended up here instead. :)

So, here you have Tenshii~Akari's 'Half-Pony Dreads', for both guys and gals, in all 25 of Pooklet's colours, using Tenshii~Akari's texture (lightly edited by me).

Naturals are binned and family-linked.

All colours are available for toddler to adult; elders get grey ('Time Bomb') only. Grey is linked to black ('Dynamite').

By default, 'Shrapnel' is binned as brown, but I know a lot of people like it binned as black, so I have also made a separate 'Shrapnel-binned-as-black', which you can download below. I'm afraid you can't have both versions in your game at once, as they won't both show up; you must choose just one.

The mesh is included in all downloads (except the separate 'Shrapnel-as-black'), thanks to Tenshii~Akari's generous policy.

I've only recoloured the one style (style 4), but the others are simply alpha edits, so if anyone would like to transfer the textures to the other styles, then please feel free.

Since I'm feeling a bit self-indulgent, and I rather liked the cute faces that the models were making, here are a couple more shots of them.

May I ask you something? How do you make to apply Pooklet's color actions over another texture that's not in Volatile color? Every time I try, I end up with a totally different color than the action I did use. Say, If I apply Pooklet's volatile color over some other hair textured in black I get an even darker shade instead that the volatile color. Sorry about the newbie question, but I can't find a way to make it work :/

Well, for this hair I actually fiddled around with the original blonde colour to make it as close as possible to Volatile, and used that as my base for all the other shades. From what I understand (and I haven't tried this myself), Pooklet's new version of her Photoshop actions can be used on colours other than Volatile, but you must start with something that is roughly the same saturation, lightness, etc. (so, a blonde or light brown shade, for example) - I'm afraid that it won't work if you start with a darker shade (like dark brown or black). Hope this helps!
