The Big Trade-Off: Gift for Trapping

It's probably about time that I posted this here...

Counter, wall cupboard and sink cabinet colours (in Trapping's palette, and some of my own colours too):

Worktop colours (mostly Pooklet's naturals, with a few of my own):

As it states in the preview, I have edited most of the original meshes to a greater or lesser degree, but my edited meshes are optional. My recolours should work with MysticRain's original meshes too (if you want to use the original meshes you only need to keep the counter and cupboard recolours - not the sink cabinet recolours).
I fixed a bit of wonkiness of the counter mesh, plus remapped it to fix the distortion of the texture on the counter with drawers. I also remapped the wall cupboards, so that textures with a wood grain (like mine) look more realistic; these are still slaved to the counter for one of their textures.
The biggest job was the sink cabinet: I fixed a couple of holes in the mesh, remapped it to remove the texture distortion and gave it shadows that match the counter shadows (floor and wall). It is also now cloned from an end table, so it has a functional slot (in the same position as the counter deco slot). Unlike MysticRain's original it is not slaved to the counter and requires its own recolours - this is because it has quite different proportions to the counter, and cannot be slaved to the counter without distorting the texture.
Finally, I removed the shadow from the sink that goes with the cabinet, as it didn't need one of its own.
Hopefully these before and after shots will illustrate the differences.

Date: 2017-10-10 09:28 pm (UTC)I am just now getting back into TS2 after many, many, many years. And, I fell in love with your recolors of this fabulous kitchen.
Unfortunately, the link on The Big Trade Off is dead. I receive a 404 Error message stating the file is no longer hosted on that site.
I was wondering if you would be uploading it onto your site in the future?
Thanks!
