Yes, I know the preview is from TS3, but trust me, these are for TS2 - I've just had no time to get a TS2 in-game preview. ;)

This is what you get:

All the meshes come in black, with one dark wood recolour.

No time to chat tonight, so here you go:

DOWNLOAD WINDOWS, DOORS & ARCHES

DOWNLOAD GARAGE DOOR FOR NIGHTLIFE

DOWNLOAD GARAGE DOOR FOR APARTMENT LIFE

DOWNLOAD RECOLOURING RESOURCES

The fence will follow shortly. There is one curved arch that I did not convert, as quite frankly there are already several TS2 arches that look almost identical.

These are my first windows and doors, so any problems, please do let me know!

I totally knew it wasn't your fault that the set couldn't be repositoried. Just looking at all those textures, it's pretty clear that the pieces were designed in a way that they'd lose a lot of detail or else have to distort the map a lot if they were squished on to one map (at least from my current understanding of how mapping works). The funny thing is, having made all those subtle differences, they then produce the things in pitch black so they look like blobs anyway, especially in the Sims 3 pictures which always look like they smeared vaseline on the camera lens, at least to me.

A thought I've been having from time time time came up ag7ain in this context, too.[ Which is+: it seems like there are times when we lose someth8ing in repositorying a set. Specificity of shading, at least, when the objects actually have different shapes. This hasn't been a frequent issue for me, because my favorite things to recolor are architectural parts, and fanmade doors and windows are usually either pretty boxy or conform pretty closely to the Maxis pieces they're repositoried to.

(by the way, I am on the lookout for more curvy and sinuous architectural details, because the weird little California stucco bungalows that are my greatest inspiration often have the strangest little curlicues and curvy windows and doors)

And I should look at my recolors in game, though I still have three items to run through SimPe, because if they don't look right I will totally redo them with your generously-provided shading layer.

Thank you!
