Another very small thing...

The eyeliners are based on Nabila's winged eyeliner (I edited Nabila's alpha just a smidge and used my own textures), but they are categorized as blush, and are layerable with all other eye makeup - they should layer under other eyeliners and over eyeshadows. I think they play especially nicely with my 'The Snake and the Moon' shadows. :)

As well as all the pretty colours, there is a black liner included, which I forgot to put on the swatch (but black is black, right?).

The upper lashes and lower liner are not part of the eyeliner, I just thought they looked cute with it. However, the upper lashes are a 'no-undereye' alpha edit (made by me) of a Lilith-Bruno-Ephemera liner, and I have included it in the download as a bit of a bonus.

The blushes are more subtle than the colours might suggest, and I tried to make a good range of shades, so that at least some (hopefully) will work well on darker skintones too.

Just to say: if anyone would ever like different defaults to the ones I make (or defaults full stop, if I haven't made any at all), please just ask! I keep all my original textures, so it's very quick and easy for me to do, and the results will be a lot better quality than extracting textures via Bodyshop/SimPE.

I'm also always happy to share my original texture files for any of my projects, for other people to reuse/recycle in their own work - again, please just ask! I'm nice, really, and I promise I won't yell at you. :)

Last one for today, and again a request at GoS, to transfer charterzard's 'Rumor Mill' outfit onto a mesh with flats:

This one was a bit more work than a simple copypaste job...

Firstly, the wonderful jaccirocker swapped the boots on the original mesh for flats, and I tweaked the mapping a little. Also, the original textures didn't survive being exported, so I remade them from the white texture, matching the colours as well as I could - I took the opportunity to remove a bit of residual boobage, tidy up the neckline and restore the contrasting white buttons to some while I was at it.

Finally, I couldn't resist making a few more recolours of my own, as some of the originals weren't quite to my taste (they are all included though).

Original colours:

New colours:

{all colours have black shoes, and appear in both everyday and formal categories}

CREDITS:

Xandher/Gelydh/charterzard (dress) and Amaryll (shoes) for the original textures
Azaya for the original mesh, with Amaryll's flats added by jaccirocker
Aelia (and me!) for colour actions

Because I couldn't have finished these without jacci, the set is credited to 'Curious Dollies', our collaborative name. :)

More stuff for rugrats: as requested at GoS, charterzard's 'Playground' outfit on a mesh by Sims2Sisters/Aelia, i.e. originally with welly boots, but now with flats!

All charterzard's original colours, each with contrasting shoes:

Continuing with today's kidlets theme... I've finally finished the texture copypasta on a hair mesh that Trapping very kindly age-converted at my request:

Something very simple for the current GoS theme (hopefully I'll have time to make something a little more exciting before the end of the month comes around): just some default-replacement textures for the OfB girls' blouse, in three different flavours (please choose just one), plus customs. I used Huning's 'Pony' colours, supplemented with a couple of concoctions of my own (also based on My Little Pony colours), plus a handful of print patterns:

All the pretty swatches and download... )

There's also something screwy going on the the terrain replacements - under certain circumstances the colours of the 'hood and lot match, and under others they don't. And I'm not sure at the moment whether it's to do with whether a lot is inhabited or not, the season, or the lighting system (Gunmod's Radiance lighting vs. Maxis lighting) - too many factors to compute, and my brain is exploding!

Gahhh, I'm beginning to wish I'd never started this... ;)

Anyway, along with the other fixes - hopefully at the weekend if I can work out what's going on - I'll probably also be releasing a new version of the terrain replacements too.

This might not seem much, but it's a big deal, really! Look, see that road overlay mesh, it has snow on it - real, proper in-game snow - and shadows no longer clip through it - working shadows, I tell you!

OK, the colour/lighting is still not right, but I am getting there.

So pleased with myself right now! :D

(Thanks have to go to [personal profile] ja_viera, who had already covered at least 50% of the ground in solving this, and whose work I poked, prodded and pulled apart so that I could get this far.)

I'm also now aware that there is a problem with the Seasons road overlay mesh (and the floor tiles in Seasons), in that the lighting in live mode is completely wrong (plus shadows clip through it, and it doesn't get snow on in winter). Stupid me, I only tested it in buy mode on an uninhabited lot, and it looked fine there. :(

Anyway, once again I'm onto it, and hopefully I'll be able to find a fix. I'll let you all know as soon as I can.

(As far as I'm aware the standard overlay mesh/floor tiles are fine if you don't have Seasons.)

It's been brought to my attention by [personal profile] immlegacy (thank you!) that my neighbourhood terrain replacements don't play nicely with the default Maxis roads in lot view (as shown here). It didn't occur to me to test this, as I don't intend to use the Maxis roads myself - sorry!

Anyway, I'm working on a fix for this, so please bear with me!

(There are no problems if you are using my road replacement, or either Ja's or evanesco's.)

This is pure self-indulgence really (but even if you're not a Whovian, there might well be something else for you under the cut). I can, however, think of one - maybe two - other people who might want this particular piece of art for their games!

Vwerrrp, vwerrrrp... )

If you downloaded this mod prior to 22/04/12, then please delete those files and download the updated files below the cut.

After over a year of working on it, I think it's about time to share that grass default terrain replacement, amongst others...

It's more picture-heavy than you can imagine under here... )
